Yes No Movie Project Start

Yes No Movie Project Start

OK, so I have been thinking of kicking this project off for a while now but I can't seem to get my act together enough to launch it in an organized manner.

So today, October 27th, 2013, I am kicking it off in a disorganized fashion.

Please note up front that this project is likely to start out lame and there is a very good chance that it will stay lame.

You have been *warned*...

But...

I have a funny feeling inside me that there is a small chance that it will turn out to be something more than a complete waste of time. It may be a bit of fun. (Certainly possible.) It may develop into something profound. (Highly unlikely but you never know.)

Why so iffy? Well, you will have something to do with how it turns out. At least if you choose to participate you will.

Good luck.

This movie will be a Free movie released under a Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike license. Content for the movie will be stored at the Internet Archive.

To start I want your Yes-No scenes. 10 seconds to 60 seconds in length.

Each scene should have a *small* "actor" and a *large* "actor" in it.

In each scene, one actor should be saying Yes (or yes it is, uh-huh, etc.) while the other should be saying No (or no it ain't, nuh-unh, no way, never, etc.)

That should give the basic idea for now.

You can instead choose to supply a still and an audio track to run along with it.

Do we need to discuss format?

Should all scenes come with a green-screened version?

All materials going into the scene should be available at the internet archive under an attribution-share alike license. (No NC element allowed.) I can't imagine any commercial use for what we will produce for this project but if some of you are creative enough to earn a little something with this, good for you.

For the first run through, no live or still footage or photos with actual human beings wanted. We want drawings, 2d or 3d models in synfig or blender or other Free software etc. We want to Keep It Free from start to finish please.

You can use stick actors or paper mache  actors etc. that you create and film them in real world situations if you like.

Tag your uploads to the internet archive with: "**FreeMovieProject**" without the quotes so that others can find your contributions. Also post a reply here with a link to your work.

After we have a decent amount of Yes/No scenes in the can, we can work on an intro and an ending. (Well, you can jump right in with intros and endings if you like.)

Oh, and submit another shot of your closing credits.

all the best,

drew
